I live in a Mediterranean on the island of Hvar, famous for its mild climate and rich heritage that is much older than Christ. I am glad when I see traces of past cultures in language, cuisine, art, buildings, faces. I see Hvar as an island continent. Guests are coming and it is nice to show them the UNESCO protected heritage with the heritage of Hvar. I do this as a guide driver, a cyclist guide and a Nordic walking guide. I also prepare private tours and events.
My family lives on the island for more than 500 years. Nona is from Pijaca, the main square in the city of Hvar and my grandfather from the popular, small »aslept« town of Malo Grablje surrounded by olives. The island is small, but its story is endless I remember when I was a child, people met in our home, the themes would be of wine, oil, migravica+, Stori Gorci,++ Hydrosaurus ..., the book Hvar, written by Grga Novak from 1925 was taken to find the right answers.
The most beautiful ancient stories were from the Old Greeks gold and the Two Hearts.
Hvar's economy has always been spreadingd over the sea, changing the merchandise and bringing the news to the island, which also refine and make the life easier.
I love our various greetings, loud and silent. I love yoga without a greeting. The citizens of Hvar have a chatt on Pjaca. They listen, persuade, speak with face and body by gestures, steps. They are close.
It's nice when in the morning, from the boat, I see Tin Kolumbitch, on a bike, our poet. He writes also about a partnership with the sea. I live this partnership. We also have Popac-Prošper Kuzmanić, also a poet, who writes in the old language of Hvar, deals with music and the sea.
Today's Hvar is also a party, fishermen and antique town and it has been protected by Zvir, the dragon since ancient times.
